Update: 3/21/03- Four Seasons has made an welcome update to there park recently by removing the under-used flybox section and replacing it with a tasty little street course. You can find some updated photos of the park at the bottom of this page. Opened in late 2001, this park is an indoor paradise during those long Midwestern winters. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the Madison area. The park's layout can basically be divided into three areas: 1.) A roll in / vert quarter with flybox and opposing vert wall. Micro-mini half and kids / beginners area. 2.) Large roll in starter leading to double set w/cement ledges, small flybox and small bank to bank w/rail and grind box. Quarter walls and levels containing various ledges and handrails and a gap up are on the opposite side of this. 3.) Wide mini half - (don't know actual dimensions) about six ft. tall with seven ft. extensions. You want to get to the pictures so I'll keep this one short. This place is well laid out and has some really unique features for a primarily wood park. The ledges are a nice touch while the accompanying stairs are an example of the blurring of the recreational vs. training line pervading skating today. Why spend all your time and energy learning on ledges with smooth safe ramps by them when you can have the stairs to really up the ante? I'm sure lots of you have seen the private training parks many pro's have been building for themselves with more realistic (gigantic) street terrain and this is right in that spirit. The ledges should last a while as there are several rules pertaining to the use of wax or bike pegs on them. Speaking of our two wheeled friends, they seem to prefer the ramp oriented side of the park and cross traffic between groups seems to be minimal. The folks here seem to be friendly- a plus for making this place worth the travel for outsiders, and that's the fellow skaters as well as the staff. Nice park with a well planned layout and fresh design. Check out the photos, check out the park, and have fun!
