These ramps are made by Huna Designs and bear the label : Woodward (Ramps and Rails). Isn't Woodward one of the original skate camps from the late 80's, early 90's? Weren't they one of, if not the, premier skate obstacle destinations during that time? Don't they purport to still be? So what's up with these SkateWave wannabe "ramps"? A visit to the Woodward camp's site verify's the use of the same logo by both companies. This leads me to believe they have sold or leased their name to Huna Designs for brand recognition or that they're more heavily involved in the production of these plastic "building blocks". Perhaps they make a percentage of profits from unfortunate purchasers of the ramps. Or is Huna actually a sub-divison of parent-company Woodward? Hmmmm.... Obviously I don't really know- who the hell am I? No stockbroker, that's for sure! I just know these ramps are a cheap cop-out for Park Districts that don't want to consider skateboarding as an activity worth investing any real thought or money in. I know that many of the skater's from the suburbs that contain these "parks" take issue with my opinions on this subject. Well- get out of Illinois to some other parks around the country, then at least you'll have some personal experiences to base your opinions on. Even with the argument of street vs. transition, one can't deny the difference in commitment to skaters between this and this!
